The Benefit of the Small Room Format

Aye Verb vs Mickey Factz, for RBE's Full Circle is a battle that changed my mind on the efficacy of the 360 perspective battle as well as gave a new outlook to the 'small room' battle format. The small room is a tough switch for some. It forces the rapper to have to be flawless or otherwise suffer the consequence of awkward silence (and performance delay) after a slip up, which can cripple the flow of an artist's round. For these two, the challenge provided an advantage.

With guys like Factz and Verb, their style is almost specially built for this format. Stylistically they both brought something to the table that was expected from two highly skilled, word-dense artists. Factz (NY) has been impressive in his lyricism for many years and known figure in the industry as well as battle rap and did not disappoint, it's almost as if he can't. Aye Verb (STL) showed us that he is a force to be reckoned with when we are at his full attention.
